some variations in the vertical text at the left;
the main distinctions between the two varieties are:
5A: two lines of vertical text at the left starting 2 cm from the base of the form;
5B: one line of vertical text at the left and a schedule number above and to the right of AUSTRALIA;
5C: two lines of vertical text restricted to the heading area.

	WI-DO-5Aa. Geraldton to ETO Perth. (Rare Perth ETO date stamp of 14 May 1911). Also has a straight line Geraldton hand stamp. Characteristics: 2 lines of vertical text at left starting about 2 cm from the base of the form; no schedule number; size of form is 178 × 215 mm; size of date stamp box is 36 × 35 mm.
Printed in August 1912.	WI-DO-5Ab. Broome to Perth (2 October 1912). Characteristics: has a schedule number in the top left corner with the date written in the reverse order. Also has a very rare COLLECT date stamp.
Printed in 1915.	WI-DO-5B. Launceston to Albany, WA (3 March 1916). Characteristics: has "2." in top left corner; schedule number is above and to the right of AUSTRALIA; has one line of vertical text in a large font at left; size of form is 179 × 202 mm; size of date stamp box is 33 × 34 mm.
	WI-DO-5C. Windsor to Toodyay 9 October 1918. Has rare oval date stamp for Toodyay in green (RO4-P&T). Characteristics: slightly different size from DO-2A; TELEGRAM is in slightly smaller font (4.5 mm not 5 mm); has a Stores Index No. in the top left corner in lieu of a schedule number; has two lines of vertical text in the top left corner (although the words are the same as for DO-2A); size of form is 182 × 187 mm; size of date stamp box is 32 × 34 mm. Has an oval POST & TELEGRAPH OFFICE date stamp for Toodyay in green with scalloped interior oval.
